Naomi Campbell is about to join the cast of "Ugly Betty", starring in the ABC's hit series second season finale.
The easily-get-mad Naomi Campbell shows her ugly side, literally. The supermodel, who's boycotted and been boycotted by British Airways following the chaos she made early last month, is about to guest star in ABC's hit series "Ugly Betty", it's been claimed.
A representative for ABC confirmed the claim Wednesday, April 23 that Naomi would play herself in the second season finale. She thus follows in the footstep of former guest stars Victoria Adams and hard rock bass guitarist and vocalist Gene Simmons.
"Ugly Betty" star Becki Newton who stars as sassy receptionist Amanda Sommers was quoted by The Associated Press at the launch party for the new Sunglass Hut store design as saying, "I've personally requested that I don't stand next to her because Amanda would not like to be seen with such a tall, pretty person."
Naomi was initially tapped to guest star on the hit TV show last year. She never showed up though and was again due to appear earlier this year, yet the writers' strike derailed those plans. The upcoming second season finale is set to be aired on May 22.
