Milla Jovovich, the tough and rugged chick in the "Resident Evil" franchise, allegedly is up for another vigorous role as she is set to star in a thriller entitled "The 4th Kind", according to Variety. In the film, the 32-year-old actress is going to portray a woman who investigates an unsolved mystery in Alaska.
Jovovich will join the production of the Gold Circle Films' flick when the film begins to take its principal photography sometime in late-June. She will be working under the direction of first-time director Olatunde Osunsanmi, who was the assistant to Joe Carnahan. However, before she gears up for the film, the "Ultraviolet" star will have to follow the shooting for David Twohy's thriller "A Perfect Getaway" which is under production.
Said to be a fact-based thriller, "4th" resolves around the numerous unsolved disappearances of people at a town in Alaska. The mystery can be traced back to the 40 years before and is speculated to be the work of the federal government. The script to the film was developed by Osunsanmi when Carnahan was working on "Smokin' Aces".
