Vanilla Ice was arrested Thursday night, April 10 outside of his home on Trianon Place in Wellington on a charge of simple domestic battery.

AceShowbiz - Vanilla Ice was busted on Thursday night, April 10 outside of his home on Trianon Place in Wellington for an alleged altercation with his wife Laura Van Winkle. TMZ which was the first to bring that matter to public's notice claimed the arrest occurred at 10:43 P.M. E.T.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to a call from Ice's home, presumably from wife Laura, alleged the rapper and actor "struck" and "kicked" her. By the time deputies arrived at the couple's Wellington home at around 7:15 P.M., they found Ice on his motorcycle, two blocks from their home.

At that time Laura denied being struck or kicked by Ice and said that she did not want to deal with media attention and thus wanted to "forget the whole thing". Much contrary to her early allegation, she claimed Ice only pushed her during a heated argument, the deputies said. "He started yelling at me for going out to buy a bedroom set. In front of my daughter," she told a deputy, the arrest report said. "I'm sorry I can't say any more until I talk to an attorney."

Ice himself did tell the deputies that he and his wife had been arguing since the previous day and he left their house in the 10300 block of Trianon Place to defuse the situation. He, however, denied pushing her, insisted his wife is "bipolar and takes medication but still has irrational and argumentative episodes and had thrown a picture frame from a rear balcony to the ground, where it shattered near him and their 8- and 10-year-old children," PalmBeachPost reported.

Vanilla Ice was taken into Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on a charge of domestic battery. He currently is still in custody.

Vanilla Ice is a Grammy Award nominated, American Music Award winning rapper and actor known for the 1990 smash hit "Ice Ice Baby." He and Laura married in 1996. They are parents to two daughters, Dusti Rain and Keelee Breeze.
