Report on Jessica Alba planning to hold baby shower over the weekend was proven true. The expectant actress has on Sunday, April 6, held a baby shower at the Ever After Teahouse in Studio City with some of her celebrity friends were seen attending the bash.
There were reportedly 35 people attending the shower, including Alba's sister, fellow movie stars Rashida Jones and Jaime King, and also socialite Kim Kardashian, who got the momma-to-be "stuff from my store, Smooch" as gift. Alba, according to E! News, arrived at the scene at exactly 1:30 P.M. She was seen wearing a long black dress, black glasses, hair down. She was hustled in via side entrance. The guests, elsewhere, began arriving for the shower at about 1 P.M.
"The shower took place outside, under white umbrellas," E! News reported. The decor was dominated by Lavendar and white, with the soundtrack was definitely on the mellow side, featuring Buena Vista Social Club, Sade and light jazz.
The menu, still according to E! News, "included white wine, lemonade, iced tea and coffee and an assortment of ice cream drinks; skewers of tiger shrimp and soft-pulled chicken; and for dessert, white and dark chocolate-dipped strawberries, mini donut varietals, mini custard tarts and mini eclairs."
Among the presents Alba received were high-end strollers and cradles, and baskets full of Dr. Seuss books, rattles and "a gender-neutral yellow or green" clothes. Besides, there were also a giant white stuffed bunny and lots of flower bouquets. As for the guests, they reportedly received large turquoise goodie bags.
Alba, who's said to have told guests she was expecting a girl in June, had her fiance Cash Warren arrived about an hour and a half after the shower started, making his way into the scene via back alley, and later escorting her from the premises.
