Nicole Richie reveals to the press that she plans to launch her own maternity line.

AceShowbiz - Nicole Richie plans to launch a new clothing line for pregnant women. She revealed the plan to the press while she was attending the opening of the new Balenciaga store in Los Angeles, this weekend. Nicole who just gave birth to a baby girl, named Harlow Winter, on January 11, said that the inspiration to launch the clothing line came from the designs of Balenciaga creative director, Nicolas Ghesquiere.
The actress claimed that wearing the clothes Nicolas designed made her stay fashionable during her pregnancy times. "Thank Nicolas. I wore so much Balenciaga during my pregnancy that he was one of my main inspirations," she said.
Nicole also explained that the design for her maternity line will be available for pregnant women from their early days to almost due. She then added, "My line will be about making women look and feel good at a really emotional time. It's about showing your best self, not your tired, worn-down self."
Previously Nicole has also revealed that she will launch her own jewelry line produced with jewelry company Mouawad. For the design the actress will be working with Shelley Gibbs, a sketch artist. Her jewelry line will be launched in September 2008, while her maternity line will soon follow after it.
