Velvet Revolver's Slash said in a press release that Scott Weiland has been creating erratic behavior and for that he is out of the band.

AceShowbiz - Previously only giving a hint, Slash finally reveals that his Velvet Revolver bandmate, Scott Weiland is officially off the group. The guitarist blamed the decision to boot off Weiland on "erratic behavior".

The announcement came with the wind down of their extensive tour in Amsterdam yesterday (April 1). In a press release Slash said, "This band is all about its fans and its music and Scott Weiland isn't 100|percent| committed to either. Among other things, his increasingly erratic onstage behavior and personal problems have forced us to move on."

Weiland will be reuniting with his other band Stone Temple Pilot that will embark on a tour this Spring. No replacement of vocalist for Velvet has been announced although the band said that they will soon record a third album. According to MTV, the firm that manages the band, Sanctuary, refused to comment further on this issue.

Weeks before the split, there have been made public feuds within the band that mainly involve Weiland and drummer Matt Sorum. "Being in a band is a lot like being in a relationship," Sorum wrote on his blog in March. "Sometimes you just don't get along. I guess there has been more turmoil lately, I guess, with the cancellations and all. It has been frustrating, I am not going to lie."
