George Michael's First U.S. Outing in 17 Years

The British pop singer is due to be back Stateside this June in promotion of his greatest hits album 'TwentyFive'.

After 17 years being off the road in the States, British singer George Michael is back in support of his upcoming greatest hits album, "TwentyFive". On Monday, March 24 the former Wham! singer announced that he will tour in U.S. and Canada beginning June 17 in San Diego.

The jaunt has been scheduled up to 22 dates that runs through August 3 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Tickets for the tour dubbed "25 Live" will go on public sale on April 6 while those who register to his fan club can purchase it a week prior. Post splitting with Andrew Ridgeley that consequently ended the Wham! era, Michael went solo with his 1987 album "Faith". It was a huge success in U.S., with the sale number reaching more than 10 million copies.

"Twenty-Five" will be released Stateside on April 1.
