It's official. Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry's baby daughter is called Nahla Ariela Aubry. It is pronounced "GNAW-lah ARE-ee-EL-uh"
The baby girl was born Sunday morning, March 16 at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Star Magazine was the first to bring the report to the surface. An insider told the publication, "Halle Berry had a 7lb 4 oz girl at 10:17am." According to Access Hollywood, as being told by a source, the actress had a long natural birth.
It's the first child of Halle and her model boyfriend Aubry. The pair have been dating since January 2006. In September 2007, the actress officially confirmed that she's pregnant with his baby. "Yes, I am three months pregnant," so she said at that time. "Gabriel and I are beyond excited, and I've waited a long time for this moment in life. Now the next seven months will be the longest of my life!"
Speaking about her baby's name, Berry told Access Hollywood's Nancy O'Dell, "We didn't have a name picked out until just before we left the hospital. For us it was hard to name the most important person in our life until we met her."
New mom Halle, according to her representative Sunday, March 16, is "doing great" and now at home with Nahla.
