Actor Charlie Sheen has been signed to play a vengeful father in the now untitled film previously known as 'Tortured'.
The Golden Globe Award-winning for his role in television series "Spin City" Charlie Sheen is said to be joining the horror film project for Twisted Pictures. According to Bloody-Disgusting, the 42-year-old former husband of actress Denise Richards has been set to take the leading role in "Tortured (2008/II)".
In the thriller, the actor who played himself in the comedy movie "Being John Malkovich" is going to portray Craig, a vengeful father who seeks to avenge his son's death. Further, Sheen who is the son of actor Martin Sheen has appeared in various films, including "Hot Shots!", "Scary Movie 3" and "The Big Bounce". He recently lent his voice for New Line Cinema's computer-animated film "Foodfight!" out in theaters April 11.
"Tortured" is a thriller film directed by Robert Lieberman and penned by Marek Posival. It tells the story of an upper-middle-class couple who plan to kidnap the pedophile that took their son away from them. Bloody-Disgusting stated that the film has now become an untitled project. It was not explained though why the initial title has been pulled out.
