Controversial actress Anne Heche has been set to star alongside Ashton Kutcher in upcoming comedy "Spread". According to Hollywood Reporter, the co-star of Harrison Ford in "Six Days Seven Nights" has agreed to play in the movie replacing its original cast Jennifer Jason Leigh.
The former lover of comedienne Ellen DeGeneres is said to be filling the leading role Leigh left on February 21 for an alleged pregnancy. This latest news was opposite to the earlier story that the studio producing the film has prepared Laura Linney as Leigh's replacer.
Heche was originally a big screen actress but lately she is more well known for her works in the television series. She has given guest performances in several television series, including in "Ally McBeal" as Melanie West, a school teacher with Tourette syndrome, and in "Nip/Tuck". She lately has resurrected her career playing Marin Frist in drama comedy series "Men in Trees".
