Spice Girls tour is over but Sporty Spice Melanie C refuses to wind down in her music career by spawning a solo album called "This Time".

AceShowbiz - The Spice Girls reunion tour has wound down on February 26 in Toronto and each member is prepared to go on with their lives. Single Melanie C in particular, is prepping for her solo album which will be called "This Time".

"I think most of the songs on this album are more about relationships and personal feelings and fears and experiences," Mel C said. Some songs that will be included in the new album are "Your Mistake" that speaks about a child of divorce and "The Moment You Believe" that emphasizes on the power of love. The first single, according to NME will be "Carolyna".

This would be the fourth set from the Sporty Spice who spawned quite successful solo albums in U.K. prior to the reunion. The new album will be released on April 8 via her own Red Girl label. "When I was released from my contract with Virgin, I had options," she said. "I could attempt to sign with another major. I could go with an independent or start my own label."

Speaking on cutting the Spice Girls tour short, Mel C said "We hoped that we'd be able to at least do some dates here and at home; we just never realized we'd be able to do the amount that we have. We've pushed it as far as we can go because some of the children are in school now and, of course, that's the girls' priority."
