Nas' 'Nigger' album is another victim of Maxim's premature review beside The Black Crowes' 'Warpaint' that has stepped out with a protest first.

AceShowbiz - Not only The Black Crowes who are taking an action against a review from Maxim, a Hip-Hop icon whose upcoming album got a premature review also speaks out. Rapper Nas has lashed out at the two-and-a-half out of five stars rating that the men's magazine had given to his upcoming album "Nigger".

There was a rift between the publishing and the Crowes regarding the band's album called "Warpaint" that was given also two-and-a-half stars while in fact the album's full version was not even available. Similarly, Nas claimed that his album is not yet done and he reportedly is still working on it but the review made it sound so so.

In a statement published by Page Six Nas dished out, "I'd prefer (a review from) Playboy. That kind of stuff doesn't reach my radar or effect anybody around me. I don't know what a music rating from Maxim is... I don't know what it even means really." The review was published in the magazine's March 2008 issue.

Nas also said that the album will be coming out on April 22 and that he is "finishing" it now. Maxim had since issued an apology to Nas and the Crowes regarding the review.
