Bai Ling Busted for Alleged Shoplifting at Airport Store

Bai Ling was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday evening, February 13 for allegedly shoplifting two celeb magazines and a pack of batteries from an airport store.

AceShowbiz - Used to make media headlines with her outrageous fashion choices, Bai Ling finally made headlines for something else when she was arrested for allegedly shoplifting two celebrity magazines and two packs of AAA batteries from an airport store.

The Chinese-born actress was scheduled to fly from Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday evening, February 13 to New Mexico to begin shooting her new film "Love Ranch" when she was detained by an employee at the Crews of L.A. gift shop in Terminal 1 at roughly 4:30 P.M. for trying to walk out of the store without paying for $16 worth of in-flight entertainment two magazines and two packs of AAA batteries.

She was taken into custody by LAPD and booked on one count of misdemeanor shoplifting at the Los Angeles Police Department's nearby Pacific Station. Being held for a few hours, Bai Ling was then released on her own recognition.

Bai Ling, according to the authorities, "was cooperative throughout the process." She is scheduled to appear in court on March 5.

While Bai Ling has not yet commented on her arrest, her close pal Damon Elliott, claimed the star was definitely not herself when the unfortunate took place, saying "She was kind of in a mentally unstable state of mind yesterday. She had some relationship issues going on. She wasn't in the right frame of mind."

Bai Ling was en route to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she was slated to begin work on the Taylor Hackford film, "Love Ranch," starring Oscar winners Joe Pesci and Helen Mirren as a couple who open the first legal brothel in Nevada. Ling plays a prostitute.
