The praised directors, Joel and Ethan Coen, are ready to once gain mesmerize the film critics as they move on to helm another adaptation film entitled "The Yiddish Policemen's Union" from another Pulitzer Prize-winning author. Accordingly, for the project, the acclaimed brothers will once again be partnering with "No Country for Old Men" producer Scott Rudin.

As in "No Country", the brothers are going to again tackle the directing, the producing and the writing of the film that is adapted from Michael Chabon's bestselling novel. The two will go to work on this project right after they have finished filming Focus Features' comedy "A Serious Man".

"Union" is a noir-style murder mystery set in 1941, at the time the Jewish refugees were promised a temporary settlement in Sitka, Alaska. The story resolves around an alcoholic homicide detective investigating the murder of a heroin-addicted chess prodigy who might be the messiah.

On the account of Rudin, this Chabon's adapted drama would be the renowned producer's third work involving the author's novel. His first work on Chabon's novel was 2000's "Wonder Boys" starring Michael Douglas, Tobey Maguire, Frances McDormand, Katie Holmes and Robert Downey Jr.. His second one was "The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay" which was being scripted by Chabon himself.
