Penelope Cruz to Voice a Guinea Pig in Animated Film

The star of 'Volver' is going to join the voice cast of live-action/CG combination film 'G-Force' as Juarez, a guinea pig.

Multiple awards-nominated actress reportedly has agreed to fill in one of the lead voices in Disney and Jerry Bruckheimer Films' combination live-action/CG film "". According to Variety, the star of "" will voice Juarez, a guinea pig.

The co-star of in "" is the new addition to the list of voice cast including voicing a mole, voicing a hamster and who also gives a voice to a guinea pig. Aside from the voice cast, the movie will also have human cast in the ensemble, including and .

"G-Force" tells a story that centers on a group of ultra-intelligent animal commandoes who work for a government agency trying to prevent an evil billionaire from taking over the world. The animation adventure film scheduled for release on May 1 will be directed by first time director Hoyt Yeatman who is an Oscar-winning visual effect innovator.

Cruz's feature credits include "All the Pretty Horses" alongside , "Captain Corelli's Mandolin" opposite Cage, "Vanilla Sky" with and , and "" co-starring . Meanwhile, the latest film projects of the 33-year-old actress cover a drama film based on a Phillip Roth novel "" and Woody Allen directed-drama "".
