Foo Fighters Want an Instrumentalist for Grammy Show

Foo Fighters
Instrumentalists are welcomed to perform a solo rendition of Foo Fighters' 'The Pretenders' and enter the contest to win 'My Grammy Moment'.

In the continuing tradition of My Grammy Moment, Foo Fighters have hopped on to be the featured artist of the award's 50th event that will take place February 10 at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

The contest is officially opened for unsigned instrumentalists - string, woodwind, brass players in particular - to enter and win a chance to showcase their talent with the rock band on the actual ceremony.

Those interested can record a video which is no longer than 60 seconds of their solo instrumental performance, based on Foo Fighters' single 'The Pretenders'. To download the leadsheet of the song, read the official rules and start submitting the videos, log on to My Grammy Moment's YouTube channel.

A panel of judges will chose 45 quarter-finalists while the semifinalists will be determined by public vote. Three selected finalists will perform an orchestra with the Grammy-nominated band and the ultimate winner will play on the February 10 broadcast.

Submissions will be closed on January 20 at 11:59 P.M. EST.
