Malek Akkad is set to produce "Hurt" based on script by Anthony Grieco and Jeff Drongowski.

AceShowbiz - A producing name behind the recently-released "Halloween" is on the move to develop his next horror thriller feature. Report brought by Variety informs that Malek Akkad has optioned rights to make "Hurt" via his Trancas Intl. Films.
Story centers on a group of estranged best friends who are reunited after another commits suicide. The gathering unexpectedly ends up becoming a bloodbath because meeting was set up as retribution.
Pic will mark the feature directing debut of Adam Finberg who is set to carry out his duties from script penned by Anthony Grieco and Jeff Drongowski. Meanwhile, Akkad will produce alongside Justin Hogan of Left Hook Entertainment and Marc Lazard of Yellowsand Pictures.
