AceShowbiz - Going against the false circulating claim, Delta Goodrem and boyfriend Brian McFadden have announced that they are engaged.
The longtime lovers have put to rest the false report, presumably directed from Daily Telegraph, that stated she turned down his marriage proposal considering that she's too young to become a step mother to his two daughters.
Notwithstanding with that, the soon-to-be-married pair are now celebrating their engagement with an overseas holiday at a secret location.
"Contrary to false reports, the couple were hoping to keep the news private however they feel it is important to now confirm their exciting news," a spokesperson for the Aussie singer and actress said in a statement.
On the happy news, speculation is mounting that Brian proposed to Goodrem last weekend after he returned to Sydney following a month in Dublin where he's been working on his next solo record.
Brian and Goodrem have been dating for about three years. The former Westlife singer previously married Kerry Katona, former member of the girl band Atomic Kitten. The former couple has two daughters together, Molly Marie McFadden and Lilly-Sue McFadden.
As of Katona, she's now pregnant with husband Mark Croft's second child.
