The "Charlie�s Angels" maker is said to have signed for the position following words saying him to be in talks for it.

AceShowbiz - Looks like a name has already been locked to assume directing duties for 'Terminator Salvation." It's none other than McG, who has been heavily speculated to be in talks for the job, that's according to Moviehole.net.

Claiming to have the scoop from its top source, the site claimed that it's a done deal for the Kalamazoo-born filmmaker, saying "the 'Charlie�s Angels' helmer is signed, sealed and delivered."

Slotted for summer 2009 release under Warner Bros. Pictures banner, "Terminator Salvation" is aimed to be the first of a new trilogy in the sci-fi hit franchise. Project has been confirmed to take place after the events of "Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines" and focus mainly on the war between human and Skynet.
