The one to play Draco Malfoy's mother in "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" has already been picked, folks. CBBC recently posted an exclusive report stating the coveted role has been bestowed upon Helen McCrory, known primarily for her stage and television work.
Last seen as Mrs. Radcliffe in "Becoming Jane", McCrory originally was billed to portray Bellatrix Lestrange in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", but had to pull out due to her pregnancy. The part, as we have known, ultimately went to Helena Bonham Carter instead.
Filming on "Half-Blood Prince" has been running since September 17, 2007 and is scheduled to last until May 2008 for a November 21, 2008 release. Though so, there are some roles that are still left unfilled such as those of young Tom Riddle and Lavender Brown. Announcement on the actors to play them is expected to be made very soon.
