Amy Winehouse's husband Blake Fielder-Civil arrested for allegedly attempting to pay off a victim in order to a fix a trial.

AceShowbiz - It is sad to say that Amy Winehouse keeps going from one low to another. Has just been granted a US work visa, apparently, doesn't mean everything will turn from bad to good. It appears that things just get worse for her. First she infuriated her record label bosses by failing to attend a video shoot for "Love Is a Losing Game." After that witnessing her London flat raided by a group of police, Amy then had to witness her hubby Blake Fielder-Civil arrested by the authorities.

Junkie Fielder-Civil was arrested on Thursday night November 8th for allegedly attempting to pay off a witness in order to fix a trial. He is accused of trying to halt the trial in which he and a friend were accused of a brutal attack on a barman, which could see him jailed if convicted.

Fielder-Civil and a friend, simply identified as Michael Brown, 39, are charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) for allegedly attacking barman James King back in June that caused the victim to have metal plates fitted in his face. The two defendants, according to report, offered one trial witness more than $400,000 for favorable testimony. Regarding this, two men reportedly contacted the Daily Mirror newspaper claiming they had CCTV footage of the attack while at the same time provided the publication details of an attempt to get one of the witnesses to the assault to change his evidence.

That's the reason why police raided the couple's home in Camden, North London early Thursday, during which they spent three hours searching for evidence among their personal belongings before then leaving the building carrying several boxes and as well arrested four men who were all convicted to have something to do with the case.

Amy, who witnessed her husband arrest, is said to be hysterical and told police "I want to go with him," before telling her lover "Baby, I love you. Baby, I'll be fine."

While a police spokesperson claimed that a thorough investigation is being carried out into the encounter, Fielder-Civil could be jailed as both GBH and perverting justice are charges carrying maximum sentences of life in prison.

Story is developing, so keep it here for more.
