A new reality show is coming up on CMT, a cable channel specializing on country music. 'Can You Duet?' will search two talented artists that will keep the legacy of such legends as Johnny Cash and June Carter.
The one-hour show will be comprised in 11 episodes where contestants will be paired with different person each night. One by one, a contestant will be sent home based on the judgment from the panel of jury which will be determined soon.
Beside the competition night, the series which will begin shooting in Spring, feature the behind-the scene dramas of the contenders. 'Can You Duet?' is a production of Freemantle Media that also took 'American Idol' and 'America's Got Talent' under their wing.
"We've always wanted to be in the music competition business, but we hadn't found the right partner or just the right concept until now," said Eugene Young, chief creative officer at FremantleMedia. "We're looking for the next Johnny Cash and June Carter, the next Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, the next Big & Rich or The Judds."
