Jessica Simpson and soap opera actress Kassie DePaiva have been booked to co-host "The View."
Good news comes in two for "The View" fans. The daytime talk show viewers are seeing two new faces joining in, they are Jessica Simpson and soap opera actress Kassie DePaiva.
Justjared.buzznet.com is reporting that Jess will be one of those guest hosts, tapped to co-host the morning talk show on dates 15th and 16th next month.
In related news, the Web also said that Kassie will be on co-host duty as well. Has filled in on the show several times before, she will be the first celebrity guest co-host "The View" to substitute for permanent co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who begins her maternity leave next week.
As of Kassie, she's scheduled to mark her fifth time guest-hosting the talk show on Wednesday October 24th, joining regular panelists Joy Behar, Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd.
Elisabeth, according to okmagazine.com, "announced this week she will start her maternity leave earlier than expected after her quarterback-husband Tim Hasselbeck signed with the Arizona Cardinals. The 30-year-old intended to work right up until her Nov. 11 due date, but Tuesday will be her last day on The View for now."
"I have to take early maternity leave so that I can get there and actually introduce the doctor to my parts, before she pulls a child out of me," Elisabeth was quoted as saying. "But I'll be back, after the hiatus."
