It's been quite sometime since their being on the same movie production, "Mr and Mrs Smith", that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie now eager to make their first joint producing effort, producing a new series for HBO.
The not-yet titled drama, according to hollywoodreporter.com, will explore the behind-the scenes politics of an international aid organization and chronicle the lives of humanitarian workers assigned to dangerous zones and the people in need they assist.
The series is being written by Scott Burns, who co-wrote "The Bourne Ultimatum" and produced the Oscar-winning documentary "An Inconvenient Truth." Burns will, in addition, executive produce the project alongside Pitt and Jolie. Meanwhile, the actress' longtime manager, Media Talent Group's Geyer Kosinski, serves as co-executive producer.
Rumor has it that the series has been a passion project for Jolie since she did the 2003 feature "Beyond Borders," a drama which follows a 10-year romance between a British relief worker and a socialite set against war-torn locations in Africa, Thailand and Europe.
