The next celebrity in line to earn his star is Ricky Martin. Hollywood released its 2,351th star on Tuesday, October 16 for the Latin singer who was hailed by mass of cheering fans.
"This is an incredible moment. Everything I do, I do with love and passion," Martin told the crowd. His star is placed near Kodak Theater, on the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue.
"I have talked to Congress and the United Nations, but have never been as nervous as I am today," Martin told the reporters before adding, "With this star my work has been recognized and this star is here forever."
Martin thrived on his career since joining all-boys band Menudo and went on solo to sing World Cup's 1998 theme song, 'Livin' la Vida Loca'. He has since produced multi-selling albums, earned awards and gained collaboration with famous musicians.
Apart from that, Martin is also regarded for his philanthropic works such as being the Goodwill Ambsassador of UNICEF and establishing Ricky Martin Foundation in Puerto Rico to advocate the welfare of children around the world.
Just last week (October 11), Roger Moore received his star three days before his 80th birthday. His star is numbered one place ahead of Martin's.
