AceShowbiz - P. Diddy punched a man on the face on Saturday, October 13 and according to the latest report, he is now charged with assault. Police who have investigated the case reportedly dismissing Diddy with 'third degree assault', but will not put him in jail.
Police said the incident occurred at about 3:30 a.m. inside Kiosk nightclub. They hope to shed some more light on the case through the video cameras available at the nightclub. According to Associated Press, police are still accumulating witnesses before questioning Diddy.
Sources said that Diddy and the man, Steven Acevedo, only exchanged insults for one period of time but tension got high and Diddy gave him "one-two combo" on the face while screaming "I'll kill you!". One of his entourage then reached into his waistband as if to pull a gun before the fight wound down. The swollen Acevedo then told the police that they were arguing over an unnamed woman.
Earlier this week, the rapper's lawyer, Benjamin Brafman, hoped this case will go through without any charges. He has preferred to call the incident a "disagreement" instead of "criminal assault".
