John Cho and Simon Pegg are the latest addition to the "Star Trek" cast.

John Cho and Simon Pegg are joining the "Star Trek" cast.

While Korean-born actor Cho has been cast as Sulu in the Sci-Fi flick, Pegg has been signed to play the role of Scotty, the ship's Scottish chief engineer.

Both movie actors are joining the previously announced star-studded cast, naming some are Zachary Quinto, Leonard Nimoy, Eric Bana, Anton Yelchin, and Zoe Saldana.

The J.J. Abrams' directorial project for Paramount Pictures is expected to shoot from November to March next year.

Plot details for "Star Trek," which is the eleventh entry in the Star Trek film series based on the science fiction franchise created by Gene Roddenberry, is in fact being kept under wrap.
