Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Knowles, Linkin Park and DAUGHTRY are names that stand a big chance winning at the 35th annual American Music Awards

Th 35th Annual American Music Awards has announced its nominees with 'surprise, surprise', Justin Timberlake and Beyonce Knowles on the lead. Both singers plus rock bands DAUGHTRY and Linkin Park earn three nominations each while others like T.I., Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Rascal Flatts run for two categories.

The award, that arranges its nomination by genre, put Beyonce and Timberlake head to head in the category Soul/R&B Favorite Album. DAUGHTRY's self-titled album is also nominated for Favorite Album in Pop or Rock, competing with Linkin Park's 'Minutes to Midnight' and Timberlake's 'FutureSex/LoveSounds'.

Two things are new this year. Not only the winners will be announced in a new venue, they will also be voted by public for the first time. The event is now held at Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on November 18. Fans can vote for their favorites online through Abc.go.com up till November 1.

It has been previously announced that Jimmy Kimmel is going to host the show. Announced stage performers so far are nominees Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie and Rihanna.
