"Brokeback Mountain" star Jake Gyllenhaal is set to topline DreamWorks Pictures' new actioner "Untitled Moon Project" with Doug Liman to direct.
Works are lining up for Jake Gyllenhaal to do. Recently signed to take part in "Brothers" alongside Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman, the actor has now got picked up to topline a new action feature from DreamWorks Pictures called "Untitled Moon Project."
Story is reported to focus on a private expedition to the moon and the race for lunar colonization. "Mr and Mrs Smith" helmer Doug Liman will direct as well as produce alongside Simon Kinberg and Alli Shearmur, former Paramount co-president of production, who ankled the studio earlier this year.
Liman also initially penned the project's screenplay together with John Hamburg, widely known for his writing work in hit comedy "Meet the Parents." Later on, "Black Hawk Down" scribe Mark Bowden, however, came in to make a complete re-conception of the story and subsequently got appointed to rewrite the script.
