Thalia is now a mother. The Mexican singer gave birth to baby girl Sunday October 7th, it has been confirmed.
The infant, named Sabrina Sakae, was born Sunday morning in New York and weighed 8 lbs. 4 oz. The first name means "princess" in English, and the second means "prosperity" in Japanese.
Thalia's publicist sent People En Espanol.com a press release at 4:15 p.m., Eastern Time, confirming that the baby was born and that Thalia, her music executive husband Tommy Mottola, and their newborn baby are all doing well.
"Mother, father and baby Sabrina are all healthy and very happy and will be residing at their ranch in Colorado," the publicist said in a statement.
This is the first child for both Thalia and Mottola.
