Official Site for Will Smith's I Am Legend Launched

Check out the interesting daylight meter as well as download cool wallpapers, buddy icons, screen-saver, and poster.

Lots of goodies from Will Smith-starrer "I Am Legend" can be checked out now as Warner Bros. Pictures has delightfully launched the official website for the post-apocalyptic movie, set to hit theaters December 14, 2007.

The most interesting feature in it could probably be the daylight meter which you can examine by submitting various U.S. postal codes. Others include photo gallery, teaser trailer, synopsis, and a news feed. In addition, there are also cool wallpapers and buddy icons as well as a screen-saver and poster that you can download for free.

The latest directorial work of Francis Lawrence, "Legend" is based on Richard Matheson's 1954 sci-fi novel about the last man alive in Los Angeles, California. Much of the flick was filmed on location in New York City's Washington Square Park during fall and winter 2006-2007, causing holiday decorations to be taken down and replaced tumultuously for over three months.

Oh great. Looks like another poor adaptation of Richard Matheson's classic 1954 novel. Can't Hollywood get it right? You would think they'd learn after previous pitiful adaptations, The Omega Man (1971) and The Last Man On Earth (1964).
