Radiohead's Mysterious Site Wound Up to a 'Hoax'

A fake Radiohead site stopped its countdown this morning and revealed a "lying hoax" message, something that the band's rep has warned about.

A website called Radioheadlp7.com that claims to be counting down to Radiohead's new album information has wound down to "THE MOST GIGANTIC LYING HOAX OF ALL TIME". A spokesperson to the band have informed about this even before the countdown stopped ticking this morning (September 29) at 8a.m.

Many believed that the site was calling for a trick to give away clues about the band's official site posts. Since September 22, Radiohead.com has been displaying codes for fans to decipher. Rumor has it that the posts contain information about the band's seventh album which will be their first in 4 years.

Some fans claimed to have cracked the message. One suggested that the LP will be out in March 2008, after an indication from "March, wax". Other messages cracked by fans include the phrases "Yes, we're still alive" and "blink your eyes one for yes two for no code code code".

The latest message posted on the site is a blurred picture of vocalist Thom Yorke with words "im stuck in the tardis " on top of it.
