Sophie Ellis Bextor has confirmed that she will release a greatest hits compilation later this year. In an interview posted on her official site, Bextor said that a brand new single will come out in November and the compilation will come out after that.
"It feels like a really good thing to do," Bextor said. "I've been doing this for ten years now, so it feels like I can do the greatest hits and then start the next chapter."
With the announcement came a statement that there won't be anymore singles pulled from her third LP 'Trip the Light Fantastic'. She also said that Kylie Minogue's producer Calvin Harris will join her in the project to create a "magic song".
Rumor has it that the greatest hits will contain her rise-to-fame single 'Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)', some songs while she was the lead singer in theaudience, up to the singles from her latest album.
