AceShowbiz - Jamie Foxx is now immortal, literally. The actor-comedian had his name cemented on Hollywood's "Walk of Fame" on Friday September 14th, thus becoming the 2,347th celebrity to have a star bearing his name laid on the sidewalk.

"This is one of the most amazing days of my life," Foxx said at the late-morning ceremony in front of the Kodak Theatre. "I want to thank the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for making my dream come true. This is beyond my wildest dreams."

Also in his acceptance speech, the Oscar-winning actor paid tribute to his grandmother who raised him, saying "My grandmother's gotta be spreading her wings and flying around in heaven, just so happy."

Ron Meyer, the president and chief operating officer of Universal Studios, which is releasing Foxx's newest film "The Kingdom," was spotted attending the event.

An action thriller flick, "The Kingdom" sees Foxx and co-stars Jennifer Garner and Chris Cooper as members of a U.S. counter-terrorism unit chasing after the mastermind of a bombing in Saudi Arabia. The film will be released on September 28th.
