Ryan Phillippe Contemplated Suicide Following Marriage Breakdown

Ryan Phillippe is the other Hollywood actor besides Owen Wilson who contemplated suicide because of broken heart.

The father of two has openly admitted that the end of his marriage to actress wife Reese Witherspoon after nearly seven years together really brought him down. He was quoted by many media as saying, "After the divorce I was a physical wreck. I wanted to die. I was ready to kill myself. I was not taking care of myself at all. I would wake up and cry and vomit."

It appears that Phillippe isn't the one and only person suffered from the separation. Witherspoon herself found it hard to deal with it that she even couldn't get out of the car.

"Right around Christmastime I was sitting in a parking lot. And I felt like I just couldn't get out of the car. It was like, I can't get out of the car," so she told Elle magazine about her divorce struggle. "And I thought, Okay, half of the parking lot has dealt with this. More than half of the parking lot has dealt with this. Okay, let's make it a little bigger. Half of this city has dealt with this. Okay, let's make it a little bigger, half of this country, until I finally got out of the car. It was like, It's okay. It's okay."

Witherspoon and Phillippe got married on June 5, 1999. She filed for divorce in November 2006, citing irreconcilable differences. They have two children together Deacon Phillippe and Ava Elizabeth Phillippe.
