KT Tunstall is preparing a more global trek in support of her second album 'Drastic Fantastic', due September 18 . She will roam U.S., Europe, Australia and some Asian countries throughout 2008.
The tour will begin October 16, one day prior the album's release date, in Glasgow. The plan is to spend November and December in North America only. The rest of the continents will experience her "Dylan-esque"-themed tour early next year.
"The big difference with this album compared to the first one is it's a global release, so I've got to try and fit an awful lot in," Tunstall told Billboard.com. "I'd hate to think I'm neglecting really supportive fan bases in different parts of the world, so it's going to require a lot of careful planning."
In preparation of this tour, Tunstall has hired two female backing singers whose position was never there in her previous jaunts. "It's strange when there's more girls when you've been the only girl and it's all gone great. We're all getting along great, and it's a bigger family on stage," she said.
Two things that the singer expects from the tour are "to keep it a tradition" and "to get on a tour bus and not come back".
