Based on the Riyadh compound bombings which took place on May 12, 2003, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, "The Kingdom" is directed by Peter Berg and was originally set for an April 20, 2007 release but later got pushed back to September 28 for a better chance at award consideration. Pic mentions that over 100 people died and more than 200 injured in the aftermath of the bombings whereas in fact only 35 died and roughly 160 injured.
