Nelly Furtado, Common, Lil Wayne Joining 2007 MTV VMA Performers

Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes, T-Pain, Lil Wayne and others are the latest addition to the star-studded bill of performers in this year's MTV Video Music Awards.


MTV Video Music Awards this year aims high in terms of stage act. The organizers of the event have just invited today's biggest acts like Nelly Furtado, Gym Class Heroes, Lil Wayne and Common to be the onstage performers.

The foursome along with T-Pain, Gnarls Barkley's Cee-Lo and Australian singer Daniel Merriweather will join the previously reported performers, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Fall Out Boy, Amy Winehouse, Timbaland and many more. The latter in particular will be a busy body that night. Beside being the event's official maestro to arrange collaboration among artists, he will also host a Fantasy Suite party with big nominee Justin Timberlake.

2007 MTV VMA will be held in Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort for the first time after previously settled in New York and briefly stayed in Miami and Los Angeles. The September 9 night will begin at 9 p.m. with an MTV pre-show one hour earlier. View the full nominees here.
