"Zack and Miri Make a Porno" writer/director Kevin Smith has expressed his desire to cast in Rosario Dawson for the comedy.
Gearing up for his next movie project "Zack and Miri Make a Porno", New Jersey-based filmmaker Kevin Smith has pointed out to MTV that he is keen to board the flick with his "Clerks II" star Rosario Dawson in it.
"I wrote [the role of Miri] for Rosario Dawson," so he confessed. "I'd be kind of flabbergasted if she didn't do it."
Though the man's intention is apparent, it is unclear whether offers have yet been made for the actress as her management firmly stated that "no deal is in place at the moment" upon being reached for comment.
In the meantime, Smith eagerly informed that filming on the movie will be done "by Christmas" while continuing his talk about the cast lineup which he claimed to have "a lot of new faces."
"Jason Mewes is going to be in it - not playing Jay, but playing a new character," he revealed. "Hopefully Jeff Anderson [Randall from 'Clerks'] as well."
