By entering the ninth week at #1 in U.K. Singles Chart, Rihanna's "Umbrella" finds itself in equal position to Gnarls Barkley's 2006 hit "Crazy".
When 's "Crazy" was released in March 2006 and remained at #1 in U.K. Singles chart for nine weeks, everybody thought that it was the ultimate song of the decade. However, it was recently broken by 's infectious hit "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z.
"Umbrella" is enjoying its ninth week atop the U.K. chart while maintaining its #1 post in U.S. Billboard's Hot 100 chart at the same time. The song holds strong to its position despite the big jumpers in the U.K. chart.
aka Fergie's slow hit "Big Girls Don't Cry" climbed 8-2 and knocks Indie singer 's "Foundations" one place down. 's second single "The Way I Are" feat. D.O.E. and Keri Hilson also made its leap from no. 4 to 6.
The biggest jumper of all in the top ten, however is ' "Fluorescent Adolescent" that positioned itself at # 5 after previously remained seated at #23. 's second single "When You're Gone" on the other hand slipped 6-3 and followed by ' "Do You Know? (The Ping Pong Song)" that equally descended three position from no.7.
British rock act The Hoosiers plunged 8-5 with their debut single "Worried About Ray". As predicted, 's "Teenagers" gained a jumping chart post from no. 16 to 9 after its music video was released. Rounding up the top ten tiers this week is 's "Soulmate" that sat at #7 last week.
