Words on Tim Burton leaving Paramount Picturesí "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" have not yet been officially confirmed yet talks on new helmer to handle the project have already surfaced by now if looking from report brought by FilmIck.co.uk.

According to the site, French filmmaker Michel Gondry is currently in talks to take over the position from Burton. If deals are indeed secured, pic thereby will mark reunion between the man and Jim Carrey for the first time since the acclaimed "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (2004).

First announced to be made in November 2005, "Believe" is said to trace the exploits of Robert Ripley, a sports cartoonist who became hugely interested in the strange and unusual things around the world. Project was brought back into development after getting stalled June last year with Steve Oedekerk appointed to rewrite the script.
