AICN has revealed that Samuel L. Jackson has undergone shooting for "Iron Man" as Nick Fury, known to be the leader of Marvel Comics' superhero team The Ultimates.

AceShowbiz - The starry cast of "Iron Man" may get one more Oscar-nominated talent in the lineup.

Ain't It Cool News brought in exclusive report yesterday, June 21 stating Samuel L. Jackson was shooting scenes for the movie on the very same day, appearing as Nick Fury, the famous superspy character in the Marvel Comics universe. The site, however, did not point out how big his role is, but it can be assumed that the part is a cameo of sorts.

What's interesting here is that the character Jackson is said to play has been plotted to have his own movie at Marvel Studios, none other than "Nick Fury", which has already had Andrew W. Marlowe attached to pen the screenplay. But whether Jackson will be cast in the flick still remains a big question for now, so do look forward for updates on this site.

Filming on "Iron Man" has been carried out since March 12 this year to run until July 9 under the direction of "Zathura" helmer Jon Favreau. Pic is slated for a May 2, 2008 release under Paramount Pictures banner.
