Ready to soar as a great pair onscreen, Greg Kinnear and Lauren Graham have both signed on to topline "Flash of Genius", a collaborative big screen project of Universal Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment based on a New Yorker article by John Seabrook.
In the drama, Kinnear will play an inventor of the intermittent windshield wiper named Robert Kearns who spent most of his life battling the Detroit automakers he charged with stealing his invention. Meanwhile Graham is set to portray his wife, Phyllis Kearns, who witnesses her marriage and family life falling apart because of her husband's obsession with the legal retribution.
Pic is scheduled to enter production next month in Toronto, Canada and will be developed from script written by Phillip Railsback, Scott Frank, and Marc Abraham. The latter is also in charge to direct, the first time of him to do so, with Spyglass partners Roger Birnbaum and Gary Barber producing alongside Michael Lieber.
