Shakira's recent gig in Mexico City was crowded with fans that the number of audience in attendance was recorded as the city's largest.

AceShowbiz - Latina diva Shakira has drawn a large fan base in Mexico that as many as 200,000 people came to watch her performance in the capital city. The concert on Sunday (May 27) is recorded as Mexico City's public gig with largest audience.
"This has been a month of absolute joy," Shakira said to Mexico City's crowd. "I have fed off you, and I leave with my heart full." Previous record in the city was held by local band Caf� Tacuba that absorbed 170,000 people in their 2005 concert.
The record breaking in Zocalo Square was part of Shakira's world tour. She will remain in Mexico until May 30 before moving on with Monterrey. Next and final stop in her 119-concerts tour will be that in Istanbul, Turkey.
