"Thank You for Smoking" and "Sherrybaby" were both deemed best feature film with "Shelf Life" being named Best Film Festival.

AceShowbiz - Giving special attention on films presenting accurate depictions of drug, alcohol and tobacco use as well as addiction and mental health issues, Entertainment Industries Council selected on Tuesday, April 24 three big screen titles as the winners of its 2007 PRISM Awards.

For Feature Film -- Wide Release category, the organization ultimately cast its choice on "Thank You for Smoking" while naming "Sherrybaby" and "Shelf Life" Best Feature Film -- Limited Release and Film Festival, respectively.

A joint production of Fox Searchlight Pictures, Room 9 Entertainment, and Content Film, "Smoking" is a drama comedy directed by Jason Reitman that revolves around a Big Tobacco's chief spokesman who makes his living defending the rights of smokers and cigarette makers in today's neo-puritanical culture.

As for "Sherrybaby", the Laurie Collyer-directed drama is an IFC production focusing on a heroin addict named Sherry Swanson who struggles to have a new, better life with her young daughter after being released from prison. It previously landed Maggie Gyllenhaal a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama.
