According to Blackfilm.com, Javier Bardem, Monica Bellucci, and John Hurt may be in negotiations to star with Ernest Dickerson being picked up to direct.

AceShowbiz - It's been quite a long time since "The Un-Dead" was announced to be the next project of Atchity Entertainment and now, words are circulating that director and cast for the horror flick have already been found.

Source to Blackfilm revealed that Newark-born filmmaker Ernest Dickerson has been appointed to fill in the helmer's seat with Javier Bardem, Monica Bellucci, and John Hurt negotiating to star in. The site further reported that the three are aiming to land the role of Dracula, Lucy, and Professor Van Helsing, respectively.

So far, the only confirmation made about the film's crew is that screenwriter Ian Holt has been hired to pen the screenplay with Jan De Bont producing via his Blue Tulip Prods. shingle. Holt, whose only writing credit is direct-to-video feature "Dr.Chopper", is said to have scouted locations for the picture in Whitby, England, and Transylvania, Romania, including a visit to the ruins of Dracula's castle.

A follow-up to the 1931 horror classic "Dracula", "The Un-Dead" picks up twenty-five years after the events happened on the first movie and sees all the surviving protagonists, including Jonathan and Mina Harker, appear along with Inspector Cotford, a character cut from the original manuscript.
