"The Office" star Rainn Wilson is set to topline a comedic feature entitled "Girlfriend Experience" for DreamWorks.
Seemingly going undisturbed in building his path on the big screen, "The Office" star Rainn Wilson has landed a starring slot in "Girlfriend Experience", a new comedy flick that DreamWorks is setting up at its pit.
Wilson, who brought up the project's idea, will play a lonely geek who, in an effort to make himself seem more desirable, hires a prostitute to pose as his girlfriend. Meanwhile, Mark and Brian Gunn will pen the script with Montecito partners Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock both producing.
A two-time SAG Award-winning actor, Wilson started his acting career through some theatrical productions for years before making his film debut in "Galaxy Quest." His recent big screen credits included "Sahara", "My Super Ex-Girlfriend", and "The Last Mimzy."
