Jonathan Rhys Meyers Entered Alcohol-Treatment Program

A representative for Jonathan Rhys Meyers has confirmed the actor has entered a rehab facility.

Golden Globe-winning actor has checked into an alcohol-treatment program.

Meredith O'Sullivan, a representative for the star confirmed the encounter to People, saying "After a non-stop succession of filming Jonathan Rhys-Meyers has entered an alcohol-treatment program."

"He felt a break was needed to maintain his recovery," Meredith went on saying, adding that "Jonathan plans to resume his schedule following completion."

Jonathan leads the cast of the Showtime series "The Tudors" (2007), where he portrays young Henry VIII. His other film projects include "" (2006) and "" (2007). Meanwhile, He is in talks to play Branwell Bronte in the movie "" (2007), and is rumored to be appearing in 's Haitian epic "" (2007).
