Nicky Byrne of music group Westlife is the father of twin sons. The singer and wife Georgina Ahern proudly announced the birth of their twins.
The infants, named Rocco and Jay, were born at the National Maternity Hospital in Dublin at 9.55 am on Friday April 20th. They weighed in 5 pounds 11 ounces and 4 pounds 8 ounces respectively.
"Nicky and Georgina Byrne welcomed with great joy the safe arrival of their twin sons Rocco and Jay," a statement released on behalf of the couple said. "The couple would like to thank Professor Mc Auliffe and all the wonderful staff at NMH Holles Street."
Nicky married long term and childhood sweetheart girlfriend Georgina on August 5, 2003 at Wicklow Registry Office in County Wicklow, Ireland and was then followed on August 9 by a church blessing at the Roman Catholic Church of St Pierre et St Paul in Gallardon, Eure-et-Loir, France and a reception at the nearby 16th century Château d'Esclimont.
