Spawning "Moodring" via Interscope in 2003, Mya switched gears to Motown with "Liberation" in 2007. The album that its release has been obstructed many times will finally be out on June 26.
"Litigations, court, transitioning from label to label, teaching kids and building a studio, that takes a while," Mya said in a statement. "That's why this album is a lot more aggressive, very honest, in your face and cut and dry."
The 12-track album chose the song "Lock U Down" as the first single that also features Lil Wayne. Other guests' appearances in the album are expected from DJ Kool, The Game, Trina, Jim Jones, Snoop Dogg and Baby Cham. The project itself is helmed by renowned producers such as Scott Storch, Bryan-Michael Cox, Tricky Stuart and Kwame.
As a promotion score, the track "Ayo" featuring DJ Kool has hit the radios and is constantly climbing US R&B/Hip-Hop chart. Another song titled "Walka Not A Talka" is said to generate Mya's vocal up to the best and finally is made the second single released from the album.
